Nearly a year would pass before Morgan Wallen’s impending appearance; on that day, the 30-year-old unexpectedly canceled a performance at the Ole Miss football stadium due to a vocal problem.

The vocalist of “Last Night” was supposed to close up his second night of performances in Oxford, Mississippi’s Vaught-Hemingway Stadium on April 23, 2023.

The Tennessee native, who opened for Hardy, Ernest, and Bailey Zimmerman, had a successful performance the night before at the stadium’s first event. But just before Morgan Wallen was supposed to begin his performance the next night, a notice informed guests that the singer had lost his voice and would not be able to continue. This was displayed on the large screen above the stage.

Later, Morgan Wallen apologized to his admirers on Instagram.

“I started losing my voice after the concert last night, so I spent the day sleeping, chatting with my doctor, and practicing my voice exercises in an attempt to get better. He said in an Instagram post, “I really thought I’d be able to take the stage and it kills me to deliver this so close to showtime, but my voice is shot and I am unable to sing,” according to Business Insider.

He went on, “Every ticket will be refunded at the point of purchase.” “I apologize, I swear I did everything I could for you guys.”On the artist’s website, Morgan Wallen’s next tour date is April 20. This performance will include singers Nate Smith and Lauren Watkins along with the return of opener Mr. Zimmerman.

The incident happened only two days after Mr. Church and businessman Ben Weprin, the founder and CEO of the private real estate firm AJ Capital Partners, presided over the ceremonial inauguration of Chief’s on Broadway.

“Country artist Morgan Wallen, 30, was booked early today on 3 counts of felony reckless endangerment and 1 count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct for throwing a chair from the rooftop of Chief’s Bar Sun night,” the Metro Nashville Police Department said in a statement posted on X, formerly Twitter, following Wallen’s arrest. The chair came to rest beside two MNPD officers on Broadway. $15,250 is his bail.
After being taken into custody in a Nashville prison for a few hours, Mr. Wallen was freed and is due in court on May 3.
