AP/NEW YORK On Monday, Billie Eilish revealed that her much awaited third studio album, “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” will be available on May 17.
The announcement was announced on Instagram, where Eilish posted a picture of the album cover, which featured the pop singer being thrown from a door and floating in a body of water. She stated that she won’t be releasing any singles ahead of time in the caption.
She wrote as the image’s caption, “I wanna give it to you all at once.” “This album truly makes me very proud.”
On “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” Eilish collaborated with her brother and frequent partner Finneas. With their popular “Barbie” tune, “What Was I Made For?” the duo recently won their second Oscar. By achieving this, Eilish, 22, made history by being the youngest individual to win two Oscars in her career.
In an open letter sent earlier this month, Eilish called on AI tech companies, developers, platforms, digital music services, and platforms to stop using AI “to infringe upon and devalue the rights of human artists.” The letter was submitted by the nonprofit Artist Rights Alliance.
A press statement from Eilish said that all physical versions of “Hit Me Hard and Soft” will have the same track listing and be constructed entirely of recyclable materials.
Upcoming Billie Eilish’s Hit
Is the soundtrack of films returning and more popular than ever, from “The Bodyguard” to “Barbie”?
Los Angeles (AP) — An instrumental rendition of Billie Eilish’s popular song “What Was I Made For” intercuts throughout the billion-dollar movie “Barbie,” providing a backdrop for the iconic doll’s existential crisis. In the last scene (spoilers ahead!) At last, Eilish’s addictive, sugary falsetto can be heard over the well-known piano. Let the waterworks begin.
It’s one of several great musical moments in a packed film, including Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice’s rendition of the 1997 Europop smash “Barbie Girl” and Dua Lipa’s disco-pop “Dance the Night,” whose lyrics wonderfully complement Margot Robbie’s custom dance.
Selling 126,000 sales in its first week and ranking No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 200 albums list, “Barbie”‘s soundtrack has become a hit in and of itself.
More than any other movie, “Barbie” has garnered three Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe, and two Academy Award nominations in the original song category.
Mastermind Creator Mark Ronson’s “Barbie” Soundtrack
The creator of the soundtrack, Mark Ronson, explains how it came together?
Los Angeles (AP) — Mark Ronson is flaunting his Barbie collection.
The executive producer of the “Barbie” soundtrack, a musical virtuoso renowned for his collaborations with Lady Gaga and Amy Winehouse, has a few “leftovers” strewn all over his studio. One doll is stretched over a Moog synthesizer in a permanent split. Another is dressed to resemble Jane Goodall, the primatologist.
He chuckles, “I went to Toys R Us and I couldn’t find a single Ken.” It makes sense that “that’s the theme of the movie.” A couple were eventually sent over by Mattel Headquarters; the Ken who is still at Ronson’s studio is, predictably, bare-chested.
